Uniform
At St Martin’s, we wear our uniform with great pride and believe that it both helps foster a good learning environment and creates a sense of belonging.
Any changes to our uniform policy will be introduced only following consultation with all stakeholders and will be phased in over at least one year.
We are a highly inclusive school and, as such, governors are open to considering reasonable requests for flexibility in the uniform policy for an individual pupil in order to accommodate their religion or belief, ethnicity, disability, or other special circumstances. Uniform is also gender neutral; children can choose from the items listed below.

Important Information
Summer or winter uniform may be worn up to October half term.
Winter uniform must be worn after October half term up until Easter.
Summer or winter uniform may by worn from Easter until May half term.
Summer uniform must be worn after May half term.
Children may wear a simple, plain wristwatch. They may be asked to leave this at home if it is distracting them from their learning.
Children should not wear jewellery to school. If a child needs to wear an item of jewellery to school, for example for religious reasons, please inform the school. They may need to remove this for some activities, such as PE. If a child needs to wear earrings, they should be small studs, which again, they may be asked to remove on PE days.
Nail varnish and make up does not constitute part of our school uniform.
