Our School

St Martin’s Catholic Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school situated in the heart of Caversham Park Village. We are proud of our strong Catholic identity and our commitment to ensuring that every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

Our school is named after St Martin de Porres (1579–1639), a Dominican friar renowned for his humility, compassion and dedication to serving others. St Martin devoted his life to caring for the poor, the sick and those most in need, and his example continues to inspire our school community today. We encourage our children to follow in his footsteps by showing kindness, respect and a commitment to serving others in their daily lives.

Founded to serve the growing community of Caversham Park Village, St Martin’s has been at the centre of local life for many years. Generations of families have passed through its doors, helping to shape the caring and supportive environment that exists today.

Our mission, “Learning to live by faith and be known by love,” reflects the values of St Martin de Porres and underpins all that we do. Through high-quality teaching, enriching experiences and a strong partnership with families, we strive to ensure that every child leaves St Martin’s as a confident, compassionate and resilient individual, ready for the next stage of their journey.
